Animate Gif avatar

How come when I upload animated gif to change my avatar doesn't reflect the animated pic, just as one single layer?  When I upload it directly to avatar/00/00..... folder, the avatar shows as animated....

any ideas guys?

this solution was found in official forum.

discuz 7 , because of relationship with ucenter, add flash upload avatar feature for better integration, but flash component cant do it as expected.  to solve this you can use Gif Animator of 2001 version.

procedure: open gif avatar with Gif Animator, save as avi, and open this avi , save as new gif.  DONE

another solution:

change setting of browser:
internet options-> advanced setting -> multimedia -> play animation in webpage ,  ok
